THE COLBYS #2.23 "Betrayals"

My plan to post the last 3 remaining episodes of "The Colbys" last month didn't work out, those of you with blogs on Blogger may know why - it was not possible to publish anything the last couple of days of June.

In the meantime, I left for my seaside holiday and could not finish up posting immediately after Google fixed Blogger. The good news is that I am back from my holiday and I will now post the final 3 episodes of "The Colbys."

Thank you for all the comments and suggestions - I'll try to keep this blog alive with additional updates even after I post the final episode of "The Colbys," and some new videos may occasionally pop up on my YouTube channel, as well.

The next episode will be posted next Thursday, July 21 and then watch out for the big UFO finale on Thursday, July 28.

ORIGINAL AIRDATE: Thursday, March 19, 1987 at 9:00-10:00pm on the ABC TV Network

EPISODE RANKING: 47th out of 66 shows (the 4th highest rated episode of the season)

TV GUIDE SYNOPSIS: Jason catches Phillip and Francesca in a compromising position; Phillip confesses to his double life as Hoyt Parker

  1. Thank you so much, lbcolby, for posting these episodes here and the other postings you have made elsewhere to present the Colbys in its entirety. Some of us are reliving our adolescence and times of 25 years ago through the wondrously cod yet addictive melodrama of the Colbys!

On an additional note, you post here on your excellent blog lots of stuff about other things that the cast went on to do. Can I ask - have you ever seen, come across or noted the one-off TV piece done by Joan Collins called "Mama's Back" from 1993? [black comedy written by Ruby Wax - made by the BBC - and supposedly a pilot for a show that was sadly never taken up.] I caught a bit of it when it was originally transmitted in 1993 but have never seen or heard of it since. I wondered whether you, who seem to have an encyclopaedic knowledge of Dynasty-related stuff and post wonderful obscurities from the archives, have ever comes across it or know where it can be found..?

    ---------------------------
CBS Drama will start showing The Colbys from Monday 25th July. It will be shown three times each day from Monday to Friday, at 8 am, 1 pm and 6 pm. If the same thing happens what happened with Falcon Crest, then the 8 am screening will not have a voiceover over the end credits, and the end credits won't be squashed up. There's a page on their website now for The Colbys with a trailer for the series on the page.

CBS Drama's Sky channel number is 149, and their Freesat channel number is 134.

  6. LB! Fantastic to have you back. When blogspot went a bit doo-lally and we couldn't access it and when your YouTube channel was eaten I was convinced Fallon's spaceship had you for good. I will be here on 31 Aug and 1 Sept for The Great Ending. Very kind regards.

  8. The Colbys could have lasted more than 2 seasons if the storylines were better developed. Overall, I enjoyed The Colbys.
