This article was published in late 1984 when Linda Evans' character finally becomes a mother in the show's 5th season. How was the baby cast, how much did she earn and how much did she 'work'? And how did Evans herself feel about motherhood at the time?
Baby Cassidy was of course replaced with Jessica Player in the show's 7th season just prior to the beginning of that wretched heart transplant surgery storyline. Player stayed on the show till its end, including "The Reunion" mini-series.
Despite expressing hope she would start a family of her own, Evans never had any kids and today says she is content living on her own.
