Catherine is of course a descendant of the royal family of Serbia, which was at the time a part of the now-defunct communist federation of Yugoslavia.
"Dynasty" was an extremely popular TV series in Yugoslavia reaching record audiences every Monday night in the mid 80s.
I`m from Serbia and I can tell you that people here were very surprised and of course proud to find out that Catherine is of Serbian origin. Her mother has lived here for the last several years and Catherine and her family visit her often.DYNASTY was enormously popular in all the republics of ex-Yugoslavia and yes, you have the correct info that it was aired every Monday.I remember it as if it was yesterday:) I was about 10 years old.On Tuesdays everyone talked about what had happened in Dynasty the previous evening:) The best soap opera EVER!
