DYNASTY Poll Results: Who Should Play Steven & Fallon If DYNASTY Continued Today?

It's Wednesday and that means the poll results are in - here's who you preferred to see play Steven and Fallon Carrington if Dynasty were filmed today.

Of course, this is purely wishful thinking. Although cable network TNT is going ahead with their plans to revive "Dallas" (and a number of the original show's principal stars are set to appear in it), there are no plans whatsoever to follow suit with Dynasty.

But it's fun to speculate and one never knows with the onslaught of recent TV revivals (such as "90210," "Hawaii-5-0," etc.) and those in the works and yet to air ("The Munsters," "Wonder Woman," etc.)

The question was: Who would you like to see play Steven and Fallon if Dynasty was remade today?

The answers were:
1. Al Corley and Pamela Sue Martin
2. Jack Coleman and Pamela Sue Martin
3. Jack Coleman and Emma Samms
4. Al Corley and Emma Samms
5. Recast with new actors

Most of you would prefer to see the actors who originally portrayed Blake and Alexis Carrington's children - that is Pamela Sue Martin and Al Corley (38%).

Jack Coleman (Steven #2) however seems to have quite a strong fan base, as 32% would love to see him play Steven along with Martin. In fact, 53% of the votes were given to the two options including the "Heroes" star combined.

The third option (with Emma Samms taking over the role of Fallon) landed in the third spot with 21% of the votes. Coleman and Samms got to share a lot of screen time in season 8, after the cancellation of "The Colbys" and before Coleman's departure in 1988.

The final option with Corley and Samms from "The Reunion" mini-series was very unpopular with just a single vote. In fact, 3% would rather see the characters recast with new actors.

It appears that Emma Samms was a somewhat less popular recast than Jack Coleman.

Personally, I would love to see Fallon played by Pamela Sue Martin. Despite her character's flaws, I found her extremely likable in the role as well as beautiful in a very unique way.

As for Steven, 20 years ago I would probably go for eye candy and pick Jack Coleman (though her was very uncomfortable in his gay role). Today I would probably opt for the original actor, though I think I would be very happy with any of the two.

This week's question is one that many Dynasty fans pondered following a disappointing aftermath of the show's biggest cliffhanger - who survived Moldavia?

  1. I always thought his discomfort made Jack a better Steven. :)

  2. I've heard and read so many times that Emma Samms was a phony Fallon... I find it unfair. She just acted the way she was supposed to, given the way the part was written in "The Colbys": a poor little thing... Season 9 of "Dynasty" made out she could have been a perfect Fallon, strong-minded and so on. Writters are the ones to be blamed, not actors...

  3. If "Dynasty" were to be picked up again, I personally would vote on it being made into a remake-movie, kinda like how the Brady Bunch were.

That being said, I think Alexis Bledel would make a great Fallon (I find her very similar to Pamela Sue Martin, especially in "Sin City"), and Shawn Pyfrom would make a great Steven (given his performance in "Desperate Housewives"). :)

  4. Actually, I think they should cast Alexis Bledel as Lauren, Fallon's daughter, if they cast Pamela Sue Martin as Fallon. :)

But yeah, I'd go with all the original 4 Carrington children actors. :)
